What is the best way to remove a worn out, rusted Calcutta anti-reverse bearing. ???

alantani

i use an impact socket that is large enough to "catch" the AR bearing and put it underneath for support.  then i get a long socked that will fit over it from the top and tap until it drops out.
send me an email at alantani@yahoo.com for questions!

an old automtive trick we use to remove bushings with only 1 accesible side. load the open area of the bearing and fill it with grease. find a shaft the size of the pinion shaft and as you force it in the grease will force the bearing out. if you decide to use the pinion shaft make sure you use a brass or plastic hammer so not to damage splines on the shaft.
