Hi Justin,
I,m just waiting for my two SM reels to arrive from the factory ( i,m in the UK).
Could you let me know the size of the original smaller magnet that was installed in the SM model reel.
Hopefully you can assist on this matter.
Rgds,
Dave Bolam...........

Hey Dave,

The original magnets were 1/4" long and 3/16" in diameter
The current ones are 1/4" long 1/4" in diameter

If you shoot Russell and email and request a couple of the smaller magnets, we'll throw them in the box no charge. Russell@truthreels.com

The SM has been really popular and we are a bit behind on production, so hang in there!

How does the SG do casting? Is it possible to mag it?

It casts extremely well. Static mag works great in it. 2 or 3   1/8" thick 1/4" round rare earth magnets fit nicely in the main case.

Thank you for the response. I'm looking at picking one up for both King rigging on piers and casting from piers and beach for big reds. Don't need to cast really far. I'm not great at casting conventionals yet so I need all the help I can get lol.

Haven't tested it yet but mags are in.
