I wish you luck. My friend's father had a custom rod made for oio fishing in Hawaii and it was one of the very best rods that I have ever fished with. I've been looking for a nos blank for 10 years and only found a few rods with the tip cut for ulua fishing and mated with an aluminum butt.

I haven seen a rod blank from anyone quite like it. It was $40ish in 1984.

if I recall, the rod is a live bait rod. Extra fast tip. Rated 20-40#. Lure weight 1-4 oz. and the rod was very light for a strong fiberglass rod.
