Is there a coarse thread drag star similar to the 10-505?
What is the Penn part number?

Thx
Mike

:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

A 10-66 will work also. It has a larger OD on the fingers.

shameless plug for Adam's drag stars - motive fabrication on this site, just ordered a couple for my jigmaster and 4/0, quality parts! check em out on for sale message board.

10-66, 10-60 what's the length across the furthest points?
10-505 is about 2.2"

RowdyW

If you are measuring diagonally across two points that are off center a 10-66 would measure the same 2.2  The way to measure it is from the center to the end of one tip. The radius is approx. 1.180, then double it--- 2.360 is the true diameter for the 10-66 & the 505. The 10-60 is approx. 2.100 true diameter.

The 10-49 will work also. Is larger like the 10-66 but not as thick. The little 10-60 is just too small for anything.

The 10-49 is the same diameter as the 10-60. It just has a counterbore in the back of it for clearance on the permanent bushing in the plate of some reels.

The 10-49 is much larger than the little 10-60.

Keith, I've got 5 in a plastic bag marked 10-49 but the stars have no number stamped on them. They are counterbored on the back side. I wonder what I have. They are the same size as a 10-60.

You have the 10-60. There are two types of 10-60, one with the cutout so you could gain more travel and one flat.
The 10-66 is the same size as the 10-49, but doesn't have the cutout.

The 10-505 is also the same size as the 10-49 and 10-66, but has fine threads.
Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.
