Penn Spinfisher V 6500LL questions

I've been using standard front drag reels with a baitfeeder drag knob like this.



The after market small lever switches it in and out of baitfeeder mode. Baitfeeder reels are a real pain to service but this option is much simpler and robust.

ReelFishingProblems funny you mention MacDill. I live in the Tampa Bay Area and work at MacDill. We will have to go fishing sometime.

yep, that's what I was talkin' about...  glad to hear Okuma's simpler, more universal version is "robust" rather than dinky (I may be looking into that), but obviously it's just ON/OFF

here is Shimano's more complex "spool-contained" version w/ some freespool tension range (I believe the model is Ultegra XTB):
