Trinidad 40 Dog Spring Upgrade?

Alan what do you think about putting a DC dog and spring in a Trin 40 at least 1 or 2?

ron, i replace them both.  you have to open up one of the springs and dremel the base plate a little.  when i get another reel to service, i will take some photos.

Great Alan thanks for your help. i also did the carbon drags and new drive plate and when i back the drag all the way off it still has a lot of drag does this sound correct or should disassemble and reassemble other that that everything else seems to work fine any ideas?
