Kil, wondering if black hole has a good jigging blank for fishing the Gulf of Maine. You know the type of fishing we do up here, jigs around 16oz. and conventional reels. I'm always looking for a new blank to build on and hoping that you might have something with a slower action. I build for people fishing on the head boats so am usually using an 8'-0" blank. Looking to put one together now and if all goes well I'll push them for the Fall Pollack run.

Thanks,

Dave

Yes we have excellent rods/blanks for using heavy jigs.
7'3" or 8" Black Hole Challenger Bank H model. The rod/blank is very light, have back o e even for 16 oz jig in deep water.

Thanks Kil. A friend called me up today and said to check out the static test on the blank. NICE! I'm looking forward to building on this. Sort of a toss up between the 801H and 801MH. Probably the MH has way more back bone than I'll need. Great video, it sold me.

The 7'3" and 8' Black Hole Challenger Bank H models are strong enough to land 180 - 200 lb tuna.
The rod is good for deep drop. We tested the rod with 2 -3 pound sinker in 600 - 800 ft and it held very well.

The 8' Black Hole Challenger Bank MH is much lighter than H model. The rod is good for jigging using upto 12 oz though you can jig cod with heavier jigs.
