action of new 9'2" Black Hole Striper rod for blue on a party boat

I am anxious to test the rod. So I took the Captree Pride this morning to test the rod for bluefish.
Bluefish were not big, but the rod bend nicely.
It seems the rod has more backbone than I thought. I was tempted to lift 8 - 10 lb bluefish, but mate was right next to me with a gaff.
I will test the rod for rooster, cubera, jack for inshore popping in Panama soon. I will even try the rod for small tuna.
IRT reel with 40 lb braid is used.
