What tension should I have 80lb braid spooled to my reel ?

Cool
I would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6...

i would go 16 pounds.

so the math works out like this.  the drag for an 80 pound class line weight reel would be 24 pounds at strike.  i set the line tensioner on the line winder to 2/3rds of the strike drag, which would be 16 pounds.  that is likely beyond the capacity of most shops.  so wind it up as tight as you can.   :-\

Thanks Alan !
The reel is new Avet HXJ Raptor and I bought at the sport show... with purchase I get 300 yards free braid spooled on said reel at Turners. I'll have them do the best they can. Then pay you a visit to check it out.
