Greasing drag washer with corrosion x?

I was wondering what effect greasing my drag stack with corrosion X would have on my PENN Spinfisher 10500. I was hoping it would decrease the minimum drag output. When we bait fish for big stingrays we like to turn our drag wayyyy down and let the fish run with it and eat it before we set the hook. Our problem with the 10500 is it's minimum drag setting is a little too strong to really do this well. Dk you think corrosion x would make it slide easier? Idk...any other possible suggestions?

My standard approach is a teflon based grease like Cals etc. I've never played with that reel but if you can't back the drag off is something else going on?
