Maxel Ocean Max - color fastness

Hi.
I am interested in the "Ocean Max" #05 in color "Gunsmoke/Silver".
Had the experience that the vendors pictures are sometimes quite different to reality.
Does anybody own that reel and could provide some selfmade pictures?

That is how Maxel's picture looks like.
Is this the "true" color?

There can be a difference in shades of the same color when it comes to anodizing. You can see this to a degree on most reels when a  new batch of an already existing model is done. I can only imagine this would be a likely occurrence with this manufacture. However I've not seen multiple reels of the same model from them in some time... Jeff

Have heard about that already.

But what I mean is the difference from catalouge pictures to reality. Obviously the pictures are edited some times quite much.

Just want to know if the reel is really Gunsmoke or more Silver.

"Slightly" different...

Actually, guess Silver is what you should really call it.

Yup that's silver.  The prior picture is what most refer to as gunmetal grey... Jeff

yep, slighty different shade of gunsmoke

the knob of the drag lever looks a bit as the shade and tint of the gun smoke color that you wanted.
