Hello everyone!  Longtime stalker here, finally joined.  I have an assortment of older Penn conventionals, 9 (3), 209, 200, 500, 60, 65 (2), 320, 321, and a couple of their spinners in my arsenal.  Also assorted other brands too.  Only a couple were bought new by me, the majority have been bought used or given to me as "retired" or parts reels and I enjoy fixing and using them.  This has been a great source of info and I look forward to continuing this hobby with all your help and camaraderie.

Welcome aboard, sounds like you'll fit right in. What part of the globe are you in?

Welcome aboard!

See that you are from Philadelphia -- home of your reels!

Tony and Tom graciously gave my wife and I a tour of the plant when we came through there a few years ago.

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

Thanks all for the welcomes...I live in Medford, NJ, about 15 miles east of Philadelphia.  Work office is in Bensalem, just N of Phila.  I do most of my fishing in the salt of Barnegat Bay, Barnegat Inlet & near shore off of Island Beach & Long Beach Island, NJ.  A little inland freshwater, too.  The Guv has closed all the state parks and the towns have closed most of the beaches for now, so surf fishing will be curtailed...just at the start of our striper & bluefish run...oh well.  Time to get the boat ready, however it's gonna be hard keeping social distancing on a 20' cuddy!  Tight lines and smooth drags to everyone...stay healthy.

Welcome from Tennessee!  Similar situation here.  Most ramps and parks, dam tailwaters and steam plant accesses are closed.
