I say go for it.  I have three all gussied up. But I do have lots of jigmasters available.

I don't think they are too rare, just a lot sitting on shelves out of site.

if these reels could tell their stories....  i say have fun and fish it if you want to.

i'm trying to fish my grandpa's.  fresh grease, stainless steel sleeve, since the brass was a little crushed, 5+1 drag since i was in there ( although just a carbon fiber upgrade would have been good enough) and a prochallenger handle with EVA knob.

oh and i forgot a new spacer to help reduce the handle wobble

This reel is now on the back burner for a bit....
I lucked into a frame for a 6/0 narrow, so ill be doing that first as ill probably use it more....

Yes good luck with the 6/0, a bit harder to cast with, but will handle most fish in the ocean ay, cheers Don.

I plan on using the 6/0 for bottom fishing, however, "challenge accepted"??
