Hello, this is a great reel but I do not like the round handle knob. Does anyone know if this knob can be swapped out for a flat paddle style knob? I have sent a text to Shimano about this problem but no response as yet.

should be plenty aftermarket -- I'm sure you can find more variety, and even better quality than OEM
get the kit w/ bearings, even if you don't need them -- you line roller uses same bearing & that's usually 1st to go  (esp., in S/W)
better yet, look for a knob kit w/ brass bushings & save the original Shimano bearings for the line roller

Thanks for the info phillaroman. I'll keep looking. You would think a knob from some other Shimano model would work.
