From Big Island

Finally took the time to read some of the threads and I want to thank Alan and everyone else.  I've already learned a lot already and am anxious to learn even more!

Grew up on the Big Island of Hawai'i shorecasting for GTs using 113H's, 113HLW's, 114H's and 114HLW's and everything I'm learning will be helpful when I overhaul all of our reels this year after over 20 years of collecting dust.  :D

Mahalo guys and gals!

Welcome aboard Greg - hope you continue to enjoy the expertise and banter.
Love to see some pics of your GT experiences.
All the best, Justin

Thanks Justin

Wish we did take more pictures back then, but we were too busy chumming, slide-baiting, catching more bait and recasting.

We did have a few BIG boys spool 300 yards of 80lb Maxima mono on 114HLW's with drags buttoned all the way down.

Upgrading to Carbontex on all of the reels, even the 115.  ;D

Hi from the mountains of frozen SE Oregon.
Hi, my name is Lee and I have a fishing gear problem.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.
