Not a super high quality reel like the earlier or some of the later reels

An attempt by DQ to become more competitive price-wise with a lesser quality reel with some plastic and pot metal parts.

Got plenty of parts if needed.

so, why the split spool plastic cover with a gap? the mono on my reel was tied to the arbor beneath the plastic spool exterior.

Me tinks that goes on After the line is on it and is a line Keeper in Placer so to speak when not in useage!!!!
