Mitchell 308 Dog Again

Fred do you have a picture of how this dog spring goes? I've tried all different ways

That is the wrong spring for the dog, Keith —-

This is the correct one —- and ignore the hole in the dog.

Thanks but that's the spring that was in it when I took it apart to clean and ship. My 309 has the common spring like you show

I think someone was in that reel before you, Keith.

The spring you show looks like a "trip lever spring" that is inside the rotor and under the baffle plate of a Mitchell 300.

Someone just got parts mixed up.

If there is anything you need —- should have it.

It was probably me!! I checked my 309 and it has the right spring

It was me that used a Mitchell 300 spring to work this dog. It works fine!
