What is happening with okuma brand in general

What is happening to Makira reels is a new replacement coming out

Are the new akuma smaller reels discontinued

Not been here much in the UK about what's happening so wondering if it's just room was I've been hearing okuma no longer exist in making reels

they are alive and well here in california.  i am not aware of any plans to revamp the makaira line.  supplies here are low as well.  i suspect it is simply a matter of them not being able to keep up with demand.
