Help with a Penn Int.II 30 tw

i found the reel doing this,

i put the level drag in the strike position with 15 lbs of drag but when i turn the handle feels hard and the preset knob truns to the free spool direction at the same time,

I clean and put new grease in the reel, i clean the metal drag plate and the drag washer and i did not put greaes in this to parts, after assembly the reel i find when i put the level drag on free spool without turn the preset knob i feel the handle little hard to turn, and the spool spin too at the same time, if i turn the preset knob to get 5 pounds of drag and put the level drag on strike position the handle turns little more hard and get worse in full strike and the preset knob turn to free spool at the same time,

I need to put grease in the drag washer?

Someone has a solution to this problem?

it sounds like the right main side plate bearings is bad.  that is probably the first problem.  try replacing it first.  that should fix both problems.  please let me know how this works out.  alan
