Joe, do you need to be underwater to call the fish, or can you use it from the boat?
I don`t Know , I have to open the package and read the instructions .  I sure hope I can do it from the boat ,I didn't think about that went I bought it  ..    :-[

Well if it's underwater use only, have Jason call 'em in.  8) Hope you guys have a good trip. Hope to see you next time.

Two rules on the boat
1. Fish where the fish are
2. See rule #1

Guys clearly you tie it on just above the terminal tackle and the water flowing thru it as your bait drops makes a sound fish can't resist.  8)

I am glad that you seen that black plastic piece in the left hand corner , that looks like it has a hole for terminal tackle .   I did have a vision , that I had to hold you by the ankles ,so you can blow it to in under water .   OK back to beer drinking , I will drink one for you , Birthday Boy  .  :d  :d  :d

Thank you I'm mostly packed. As usual my elbows and shoulda start giving me hell as these trips approach. I should probably bring a spinner just in case.

Weather looks 50/50. I'll bring a rain coat, also just in case

Packed and ready! I think. I need to write, print, and laminate a list of everything I need for these trips so I can be more efficient. Going 2-4x per year is just enough to forget everything.

Bringing my Newell 220, my Penn 970, the Shimano speedmaster 16ii, and a spheros 6000B.

T-minus 11.5h

It was an interesting trip. We had about a 3.5 hr drive out, so deeper than usual but less fishing time. But true to what the intent probably was, the fish were bigger. Everyone on the boat was super chill, weather cooperated, waves weren't bad at all. Luck, being what it is: I made out like a bandit, Joe wasn't as lucky. He's still better at it than me. But I was in lucky #7 spot.

worked great while I got to use it. I was casting out a bit and threw a real screwball and couldn't clear the knot. Never got a chance to put it in low gear.

But let's be honest. I usually don't get to properly use a new reel the first time I bring it out. So I had to get that first trip out of the way.

I saw 3 others of the same reel on the boat, if it was overkill, others didn't agree.
