Thanks for allowing me to join. I'm hoping someone here has a solution for me. I have a Calcutta TE 250 DC. The star drag bearing BNT 2954 is very hard to find. I can get the actual bearing, but not with that plastic spacing collar. Has anybody had any luck punching that bearing out of that collar without breaking it? Thank you.

Hokayyyy this is a curly one.

The original bearing's new part number seems to be 10G3G, and is showing EOL. Dang.

As far as I can ascertain, the internet seems to think that the bearing dimensions there are 8x12x3.5 - I don't know if this is inclusive of the collar or not.

A Shimano bearing in that size is available, P/N 10EX6, or possibly P/N 10582 for a higher quality bearing (although appears to be unshielded?)

Welcome Rick from the SoCal Inland Empire!  Looking at the schematic I'm a little unclear as well, but I'm pretty sure a solution can be found here on the Forum. - john
