:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

several.  remember, if you change the AR bearing, you also have to change out the inner tube.

a failed AR bearing is usually the result of rust.  that will damage the rollers in the AR bearing and will also damage the surface ofthe stainless steel inner tube.  if the surface of the inner tube is not perfect, it could slip.  plus, any roughness on a old inner tube could then cause damage to the new AR bearing rollers.  just like a main and pinion gear, change them out as a set.

I can't find it on Shimanos scematics?, is it a separate sparepart,  or ordered with a new side plate like on the Abus?

Thanks, but I think you misunderstand me. I have the scematic, but need the part number.  It's not listed on the part list, nor the drawing.

It's not listed because on that reel, it's considered part of the side cover. They want you to buy a new sidecover with the AR already pressed in. I'm almost positive that it's the same size as several others and you should be able to press it out and replace it.

Thanks guys,

It just pop out of the 200 models, but in the 400B, it sticks. Sure it's the same size?

If it's bad, you either need to replace it with a new AR bearing or replace it with the complete new side cover. Therefore, you might as well press it out and measure it. Once you know what size it is, there are places where you can order a new AR bearing, even if it's not the same size as other shimanos.

??? ??? ??? Well it's good to see that I am not the only one.

Have combed the web high and low and no reference to a part number for the AR bearing on the 400B and now I know why.

Has anyone managed to source an alternate compatible part number?
