hi,
i am a catfish angler from austria. in resent years i used spinning reels like Penn Spinfisher SSM. Now i change to conventional reels because of the line capacity. During my research i found this form. I am sure i can learn a lot here. With your help i will found the right reel for my requirement.

kind regards Daniel

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Welcome to the sand box.
If your looking for fish twice that size, I'm thinking a narrow 4/0 would be the ticket. What gear ratio are you looking for?
