Shimano Sustain 4000 FD

Question,
I discovered that 4 carbontex drag washers will fit in this reel. I will be using this reel in fast river current for 25-50 lb King Salmon so the extra drag will come in handy. The washers are currently dry.
Is this a good idea or am I asking for trouble. The reel is on an 8.6' 12-25 Loomis Rod.
