Frame Kit -- Penn 9/0

Just wanted to Thank Dom & his crew of expert machinists for this 9/0 aluminum frame kit.

Came right on time in the mail a couple of days ago -- had a few minutes this morning and decided to install it on an old 9/0.

Using a power driver to remove the screws -- and using a regular screwdriver by hand (I have a phobia about starting even greased up screws into a valuable aluminum frame using a power driver -- always do it by hand so I can feel the threads go in smoothly) -- it only took a little over (5) minutes from start to stop.  And that was not trying to do it quickly -- I enjoyed looking at the craftsmanship and quality of the frame and components during the reassembly.

The main weak link on fishing these old 9/0s offshore for tuna or such -- has always been the tendency of the stand & posts to tweak during a fight with an average or larger fish.  That is why many fisherman have thought they needed to upgrade to the much more expensive reels.

This old reel has the upgraded HT-100s with SS stack & Cal's grease -- now a solid frame makes it ready to go.

Looks good Fred! I just talked to Dom the other day. He said he had 10 left. I already have four of them. Plus the Accuframe.That's my limit.
