Newell S646-4.2

I have a Newell S646 that has the non-adjustable bearing on the handle side. Does that bearing fit flush all the way down in the hole that it goes in or does it stick out after pressing it in the hole? Also is that hole just plastic or is there a metal insert in the hole where the bearing fits into it?

No metal & it is flush with the graphite in side the reel.
