I REALLY need a set of side plate rings for a Senator 114 (all metal bar version) so I can get the reel up and running for sharking. Condition is really unimportant as long as they are unbroken. I'm in the UK but posting shouldn't be a problem. Can pay by paypal. I know this should be on the classified section but I thought it might get noticed better on here by you Senator gurus.

I might have some that you could have but you'll have to wait till I go back to work on 9/2/2014. Just pay for shipping...
Do my reels make me look PHAT?

Huge thanks just for even looking.

Do you need inner and out rings? I may be a source for you,  let me know if you still need rings?  gst.

Tom,
Yes I have and they want thirty quid for a set before shipping.
I don't need new ones, just serviceable second hand ones as its a 'user' reel and I'm not worried about cosmetics. This is the third 114 that I've converted to left hand wind from cheap ebay finds and sourcing most parts from the ever helpful, and very reasonably priced, Mick Simons here in the U.K. Unfortunately Mick doesn't have any rings in stock and its fun anyway getting used parts on here.(got my recycling head on) Once done and serviced they prove to be almost good as new, and perfect reels for porbeagle fishing as do my converted 113s for blue shark.

Jeff, agreed,a bit pricey especially for a "working" reel.
Mick appears to be having problems sourcing rings etc at present.
I would prefer stainless steel rings rather than the old chromed brass ones.
I know some of the guys on here will come to your assistance.

Great porgie fishing off Donegal at present although the weather has not been good.

I really must drag my boat over to 'the green isle' sometime in the future.
I'm having a very lean year on the sharks with five days so far after porbeagles on the North Devon coast producing  hoards of willing tope, but none of the target specie.
I'm planning at least a couple of trips 'down' south-west  with  days after both blues, and porbeagles over the next two months and , weather permitting, those old Senators will get a bit of exercise.

Have you considered Islay in Scotland?
Charter boats from NI  successfully target porgies off Islay and you would avoid the very expensive Irish Sea ferry crossing.
I can PM details if you wish.
