Alans Handles came today the summer Game gear is starting to come together
Bit of spooling and rigging to do

Bryan Young

:D I talk with every part I send out and each reel I repair so that they perform at the top of their game. :D

Nice rigs, Jon. Can you tell us what we're looking at rod and reel wise? Alan's handles are readily recognizable. Mainly, what's the little blue jobber on the end? avet or daiwa?

TIA- Steve-o

We've gotten snow on the peaks lately...so our turn for old man winter to show up. Knocks my target species fishing ( Carp ) way back as they go into "snooze" mode for a few months. Plus I don't call "cutting holes in ice and staring down into it"  fishing.  :o I can walk out to my freezer and get a fillet or chunk of halibut anytime. ;D

That gold Butt really makes that reel pop! Looking Good Jon.

Thanks Daron
Funny how the photos  show things different I always hated how the anodising did not match :D :D :D
fish won't mind though
bent butt is for the Broadbill as they tend to fight down and up
not out and round like a Marlin

Hopefully get out labour weekend, depending on the weather gods. Don't get Porae down here, my brother has caught them up Whakatane way. Might do some freshwater fishing in the Rangitikei this weekend, will be the first of the season if I do.

Hi Alan,
Porae is a type of fish, Whakatane is a town, the Rangitikei is short for the Rangitikei river. Which has both brown and rainbow trout that fight like marlin. Trout season opens on October 1st every year. My brother is one of my three other siblings. ;D
