Found my last stainless star in the truck ashtray-you can run but you can't hide :).  Decided to throw together a reel.

Scrounged up the remains of a black Jigmaster.  Powder coated the rings.  A nice tight gap between the spool and rings now.   Snagged the accuframe  from my 505 that has been retired.  Just need to find my last stainless gear sleeve (not in the ashtray, hmm), and a couple screws, and this puppy will be ready to fish.

Sweet reel.  Can I ask your process for powdercoating the inner rings?  Or did you have a shop do it?
I woke today and suddenly nothing happened.

Very nicely done!

I like the color scheme... The red really makes it pop

Gorgeous reel Dave. If you need a star let me know, I got some from this great machinist ;).
Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

Make sure you remove the right inner-inner ring and don't paint it.  It will screw up the clearances for the one screw-take-apart if it is  painted in place (don't ask me how I know :-) )

NICE! I am a fan of the color scheme.Mines in reverse sort of...But may incorporate a silver frame on another build.
