C-D, yeah those 6/0's are used for chunking. They will beat most anything you'll encounter on these trips. If your lucky enough to hook up with an XL sword/bft/bigeye than you may be out gunned. I'd like to have that happen though. These 24 - 36 hour trips are an excellent way to get to the canyons in the fall. The smaller boats at that time of year need a perfect weather window to be able to handle it.

If you don't mind I'll probably PM you on the side about your experiences, tackle, blah blah blah.  This is on my bucket list before our second kiddo gets here... ;D
