Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

Beautiful, Sal! Is that Tib frame a #P10?

I don't suffer from insanity... I enjoy every minute of it!  :D

a reel beauty sal, enjoy

Alto Mare

Thanks guys and gals:) ! Aiala, that is a P16. A P21 would be a 501 Jigmaster.

Aha, thanks. Question: Is your reel a Monofil 25 or 26? (I can't quite tell from the photo.) And, would the P16 fit either one?  :)

Too many questions.  You are going to make Sal's head hurt.   :D Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Aila, The usuual bright Penn factory colours were:

#25- grey

#26 -green

#27 - magenta

I have not failed.  I just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

Aiala, you could use the P16 on all reels with the same size plate, of course you would also need the 29L-100 spool and the 29L-146 for the Squidders.
The P16 will work on Beachmasters-Baymasters- Monofil and Squidders and so will the stainless steel spacer bars that Alan is working on at the moment.
I like stainless steel better than aluminum ;).

You need to convince Alan C. To make  SS frames with those side plates he is rolling out!!

Wow Sal, you made a very cool reel, and I somehow sense a few others may want to do the same now that you have once again paved the way.

BTW, how did you get all the inside parts so nice in that first pic ?? I never knew a bridge plate could look like that. ;).....and yes I do happen to own 2 cavity molds for penn reels, I only wish I could put them to use :D.

I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but if Alan made stands like Newells then the 501 size would fit a 501, 146 and 49 and his bars would still work. I'm guessing that the price of his stand and two bars would exceed the price of a Tib frame but then again they would be stainless, who doesn't want that?
