Very Nice Aiala, I wouldn't change a thing. ;D ;D

Is the silver frame an older model ?? I like the clamp setup on it.

I would have probably had that silver frame with the gray...

As clearly demonstrated in the very first post of this thread!   ;)

Needless to say, Sal, you were the one who inspired me to make these reels; and, while imitation is --in this case, at least-- the sincerest form of flattery, I didn't want to exactly copy you. Besides, I think the black Tib looks rather sinister (in a nice way) with the grey plates!   :D  8)

Max, I guess it is an older model; I bought it last year from Chowderpuff.   :)

I don't suffer from insanity... I enjoy every minute of it!  :D

Aiala, I purchased insurance with my statement, I said either way they're still awesome ;D...and they are ;)
Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

Sal and Dominick,

I believe it's in the "Guys' Handbook" to NEVER argue with women in matters of color application for aesthetic effect. Just nod and smile to whatever they decide or select. I learned the hard way :o after unintentionally triggering a thorough and lengthy oratory from my wife about the differences between "fuschia" and "purple"  ::) ...never, never, ever I will be doing that again.

Dominick

Yo Wai good advice.  However, I can't unring the bell with Aiala.  Whew! At least she did not lambast me.  Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Well, she's right! And violet, and lilac, and lavender, and mauve, etcetera etcetera...   ::)  ;D

When your wife asks you about your opinion on a color -- presumably a new color for a room, ceiling, matting for a painting, etc.  -- there is more than just "nodding and smiling" your approval to whatever she says.

She is testing you -- and there is a process (gauntlet) that you must partake in carefully, with sincere interest, participation, and remember -- when you think a decision has been made -- that there is still much to come that must be considered.

Never condescend -- that will nullify any opinion you might offer from that point forward.

Instead, take a minute or two to consider her statements and ideas -- then come back with a question that is non threatening -- such as, how would that color blend with the new sofa?  Or have you considered different times of day such as direct sunlight, moonglow, evening light, etc.

Tell her you trust her good judgement when it comes to decorating -- and am grateful she is so good at doing it.

And you appreciate her involving you in the decision -- but in the end, you will certainly appreciate the time she took in getting just the right colors to blend perfectly.

Best,

Fred

Dominick, its very dangerous standing beside a fire holding a gas can full with fuel....you might be better off holding water. ;D

Still love you ol' man! :-*
