Private messages?

Hi all, I've sent a couple of PM's but when I check "My messages" it says I have none in the sent box 
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong, I don't think these messages have worked because I have had no responses either.

There is a checkbox "Save a copy in my outbox" there. You will need to check that box.
