Did someone mention BIG ?  .......20/0 Kovalovsky cradle reel

RowdyW

you know, one interesting company is quantum/finnor.  they're in oklahoma.  seriously, tulsa, oklahoma.  ok, not to make fun of the midwest, but tulsa is not the first place you would think of when someone mentions salt water fishing.  it's just that they make some great reels.  it would be fun to get out there and tour the place.
[/quote]Alan, I think you would have to go to China to tour their factory, that's where most of their reels are produced I think. I recently bought a Fin-Nor Marquesa MA50T II 2 speed. I turned it over & the bottom says Made in CHINA.

for me personally, it's more of what makes you happy rather than what satistifies the need... ;)

Aren't they one in the same. Or is that considered having your cake and eating it too? I like the Idea that this site as I previously said has so many good people to help us along with our reel interest so we can be happy with our choices, besides what we think we need today doesn't last for ever in a lot of cases, but at the time it does give us pleasure.

Big is nice if that is your need, but remember...Dynamite comes in small packages!  ;D  ;)

of course they are the same but need is a very subjective word. also in my high school yearbook i was described as "small but terrible" hence "dynamite comes in small packages".

btw i need this but i want that one. hope it makes sense...

Rancanfish

33 Penn reels from 920's-990's, all variety of jigmaster models, a 310, a 965, surfmasters, squidders (2 BNIB). Just bought two more Tani-ized jigmasters from a member here. And my just finished 1/0. Every jigmaster, squidder, and surfmaster have been at least mildly upgraded. The favorite to sit and fondle? A little accuratized Surf 100.

15 Daiwa from SG17LCA line counters, to 27H, 47H, 170h & 250 Magforce, a couple nice upgraded 900H, to Lexa's.

One lonely Shimano 400Te. And three old Baitrunners.

And about 15 various other spinners from CETA  to Shimano to  Damn Quick 440 and 550.  And racks of rods to cover my needs.

But I have been fishing twice lately, with Striper for dinner last night,  so every reel is justified,...............right?
I woke today and suddenly nothing happened.

Ive been fondling my 200 lately, so much so as to make my cat jealous.  ;D ;)

should change my username to "the reel nut"! ::)
or "reel crazy" or "reel guy" "reel aficionado" etc ::)

Attach a cat toy, or better yet, a fish to the other end of that reel and watch his(her?) attitude change right quickly.
