Here's a pretty decent early Squidder I got yesterday. I believe 1940-42 timeframe

Guys let's keep this thread alive!
I haven't been buying much fishing stuff lately.
Kinda rekindled some older interests that take my time and money. However, I still look forward to seeing what Penn stuff you guys are finding.

Garage sales slow way down in the winter.

On Facebook unless it's really cool or really cheap, I pretty much have everything, I want (can afford) except a 16/0.

Yeah, I've been to several "yard sales" , here on the island, this winter....but saw nothing that "tripped my trigger", and I'm trying to "ween" myself from e-bay (actually, I'm trying to keep a little "peace in the family!!! ;) )
There's nothing wrong with a few "F's" on your record....Food, Fun, Flowers, Fishing, Friends, and Fun....to name just a few !

Crab Pot

Reels are starting to pop up at the local garage sales but so far, I have every Penn I've set my hands on.

So far... :d

Not possible to upgrade that one... and that handle! Spectacular grab, John.
Can't imagine there being a finer 4/0 on the planet.
Miss Brian for sure... we lost a ton of knowledge and some great stories when he passed.
Thanks for posting one hell of a special reel.
Best,
Dom

The 2 tone knobs are mostly found on the 1938/39 senators, but this one blows them all away. This 4/0 is more rare than a sasquatch or unicorn. Brian Purrone had some of the rarest early Penns on the planet and most looked brand new. This one falls right in that category. Thanks for posting John !!
