Penn Squall 15: What performance standard

I have a new Penn Squall 15.  Took average of 5 free spool times, 14.5 sec.  Is this OK, or do I need to open up and lube bearings?  Would us Corrosion X as lube, OK?  As you might guess am new at this, THANKS!

It could be better. I increased freespool on a friends SQL 15 but can't remember by how much. I removed the spool bearings, cleaned them out of the stock grease with carb cleaner, relubed with TSI 321 but use what oil you have and reinstal them. If you want you can also remove a shield on one side of the bearings which can give you better freespool. I didn't in his reel because the bearings are so small and hard to get the shields off, I did not want to damage the bearings. If it was my reel I would most likely do this and if I did damage a bearing I'd just get a new one and try again.

I have 3 Squalls 15, all have a free spin greater than 35 seconds when I back out the magnets. They all have been upgraded to Boca ceramic bearings with TSI 321 lube.

It's probably overkill because I tame them down to 9>11 seconds for slinging bait...
