Thanks man. Should look even better if/when I finally put one of the Cortez frames on it. But for now, I also painted the bars/star shiny black as well.

Beautiful job.  What did you use? (don't you wise guys say paint)  Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Very Nice !!...just add black spool and frame and it'll be a black beauty

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

lol, I used Sikkens paint. I paint cars for a living, and I had nothing to do today. It's got 2 coats of clear on it. Did a quick mockup tonight, really liking the outcome. Just need to either paint or replace the spool, black.

Might want to put O-rings or something on the eccentric arm to prevent it from marring the paint job...

Looks good!  Looks like a chromed brass spool?  You could strip the chrome and polish the brass up like the one here:  http://alantani.com/index.php?topic=13274.msg134001#msg134001  The bright gold spool would look nice with the gloss black.

Nice job.  Looks like brand new.
