Mark Mayo and a few others on our site make some really beautiful knives.

If you wanted to try your hand at a basic knife -- Rockler has kits that you can purchase that start at $19 -- a video on You Tube -- and a free class you can take if you wish -- at one of their stores.

If you look at their online catalog -- there are many other knife design kits.

Fun project that may or may not lead to another interest.

Rockler is a very good company that I have used for years to source woodworking tools and hardware.

Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Back in the 40's my dad used to make his own knives by grinding down old wood files.
Not all fishing is done with rod and reel.
