Hi Alan, and the reel engineer family,
Thankyou for all the useful info on this site.
I,m a long time lurker, who,s decided to come and join you all officially, now that I,ve gone modern, with 2 new LD reels.
Hopefully I,ll be able to add to the families knowledge store.
Thanks again for the site,

What's up Mike! What kind of fishing environment and species are you into, in the Manchester area?
Gfish.
Fishing tackle is an art form and all fish caught on the right tackle are"Gfish"!

Thanks for the warm welcome,
Sorry Zimbass, I support niether, not a teamsports person, prefere fishing and shooting, especially stalking style, for fin, feather or fur !!
Hi Gfish, locally wild brown trout in small streams, with BFS gear, and chub and barbel in the rivers, and pond bashing Tench and Crucian carp.
An hours drive gets me to the coast and sandy beaches and muddy esturies, for Bass, cod, plaice, flounder and rays.
I get over to Whitby 3 or 4 times a year for some wreck fishing and annually go down to Looe in Cornwall for the shark festival.

Welcome Mike. Sounds like good fishing in your neighborhood.
