We were going to the "Nipple" south west of Pensacola pass to troll for Wahoo and Mahi but there were thunderstorms in that area. We made a change of plans and went bottom bumping.

We got our Red Snapper and Mingo Snapper easily.

I had a newbie on the boat so I hooked him up with a live Mingo and had him send it down. He was using the Makaira 15 and one of Pinnacle Marine's spiral wrapped rods.

The fight was on and it took him a while to get the rod out of the rod holder. He's a big boy and a Marine but this fish had him sweating bullets.

Too bad we couldn't keep the fish as the season is closed.

Good job Handi.  Thanks Sid I did not know what kind of fish.  Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Well done getting those newbies in fish, that's what it's all about.
