This was too bad for mrs. halibut but she opened her mouth once too many!  

The narrow Tib framed
4/0 has my homemade hex gear and cf/titanium washers double dogs that I made at home.   The rod is a 30-80#Graphiter by Calstar w. Aftco Lite rollers.  I would say they are my favorite action for what I do....
   This reel handled the 150 pound halibut quite well.  The line was 80# spectra, using an 18/0 circle hook and herring/salmon belly for the bait.   2 pounds of weight and current run off can make reeling tiresome if fishing very deep.  Luckily I was in about 135 feet.

Nice flattie! Fish, like most of us, wouldn't get into trouble if they'd keep their mouth shut. I sold my tricked out YTS last year. These days I'm a 2-speed guy.

Hey folks, I,m not just a narrow minded Penn guy! ?   I too much love my hotrodded reels to leave them home all the time, BUTT I simply cant part with some of the nice two speeders either?  I can only dream of the roman dasze when the king had a harem /   There are a lot of choices nowadays for all applications.  You dont live long enough to wear most of them out!!!   (reels!)
  Next I,ll post some footage of how my China E-bay bargain Project 2 speeder worked out after a long and frustrating experience last winter.  I got to fish it quite a bit this summer sadly enough setting dow my Tiagras,16s,s,Makaira,Avet TLD20II,s ......and the time proven Penns that ive spent hours working on.....   Its all good!
