Penn 99 Spool WidthCor

Hey Guy's,

What is the width of the Penn 99 spool? Spool width and overall width.

I bought a Tiburon 99 frame and spool kit and the spool is too long overall to fit into the Cortez Jigmaster.

I left the spools dimensions in the shop.

The spool dimentions you sent me were. 2-7/32 wide and 3-7/16 end to end.  I will measure a 99 spool.

The kit number is P-29 from Tiburon.

I just measured 2.211" flange to flange and 3.153" overall from an original 99 plastic spool.

Keith, it sounds like you may have a 250 or 500 spool (which are the same) and not a 99 spool. The frame you have is correct for a 99 conversion. The spool shaft on your spool is too long.    Rudy

Could it be you have a tiburon 29hs spool? that shaft would be a bit too long.

It did say HS spool.

I guess now i need the correct spool and have this one to trade.

Keith, it seems that you have a 99/505 type spool not a 99/500 spool.        Rudy

The correct width is,  2.125 + .060, or 2.185 overall. =/- .005

My plastic Penn 29-99P,  3.152 shaft length and 2.173 spool width. 
The Tiburone 99 spool, 3.159 shaft length 2.214 spool width

With your help I figured it out. P29 Jigmaster 505 silver frame and spool kit. I really don't need it. I did find 2 NOS 505 head plates, black, in my stock.

Does anyone need these parts?
