and Brian Funai's article in an older Reel News reminded me that starting a thread here on old school homebuilt 'tractor reels', and reel upgrades might be a good idea.

There have been various threads here, and elsewhete along with numerous articles that show that reel hotroding, modification, and builds from scratch are hardly new concepts.

The recently posted "Pearl Harbor Special" widdened Jigmaster builds immediately come to mind...
