I wasn't sure where to put this.... but it is about what may be the world's oldest fishing reel - in this painting by Ma Yuan during China's Song Dynasty - in 1195 AD, to be exact. I thought this was pretty cool.  There's more info about this here and here

Looks like a Senator 4/0 with root beer side plates -- probably a one off.
