Here's a Penn 706Z "Blue Angel" Custom.  Paint is a Duplicolor "Metal Specks" series.  Knob is from a Penn Slammer III 7500.

Stunning colors......That's a keeper....  Bill
It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!

Holy moly thats a nice reel. Did u pack the body with grease for wading in the surf?

Is the knob a direct fit replacement? Love how that looks. My 704 needs some more polishing

Great colour and professional paint job Joe. I powder coated a 750 SS blue a couple of years ago but this makes my "Blue Dog" look pretty ordinary  :-[  ;D

It can't be too difficult - a lot of people do it.

Very nice job Joe! I've been working on a purple and blue if I ever get around to finishing them. Blue and gold looks perfect! Great work!

Not!  Had to make a post for the knob.  The Slammer handle would have looked amazing on this reel, but this was the most efficient was to make it work.  The owner was very specific about the Slammer III knob.

Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will.

Should see it when the sun hits the metal flake, Sal!
