Here is an unexpected break off of a good fish that turned bad?  ;)   Caos of course at first.    then things seemed kinda in control.  As it was my turn to hog the tank I wanted to get all I could out of the fish, ???  then it said no and crossed under and went to forever land/?
I shoulda, coulda, butt the Tank stood it own.   Bye Bye. ;D     Like so many loves. short,n,sweet,n just a memory!!!! ;D

Hit the prop and broke off.  Those big butts go where they want and you can't turn them though the butt man tried hard.  Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

Yes i,d like another swing at it.   Like in baseball you get a couple of trys?  ;)  Butt nope,  The video shows and tells what went wrong.  Looking at it again and again it showed what my options were. :-\
Possibly backing off completely on the drag, quickly put on clicker and trying to hand the rod around the rear of the motor and boat to get to the other side?   Oar Running up front and getting free of the anchor and free of the bottomcurrent?  Another Thing If heard butt never tried is just giving it slack line and the fish might just stop running and or turn back towards the current?  (facing the front of the boat)?
Everything seemed to happen fast and I was unprepared for her Antics! :o
Anyway it was fun far all while it lasted.    Back to fishin. :-[    The Tank Worked Fine.

I am amazed at how fast the current is ripping in this video - it almost looks like you are motoring at trolling speed. Most of my fishing is done on the anchor here in California, but I've never seen current anything close to that fast. You must have large tidal swings there and a lot of water moving in and out of that area where you are fishing.

Gary I need to know how I can get you to ship some Halibut down here to Florida. All I can catch are our Flounder. I will give you whatever it takes to get some. Fishing gear, rods, you name it. Maybe even a new red cooler :D

These are the size I catch of my dock. Ive never eaten Halibut.
