Did you check if the engine turns over?
Hi, my name is Lee and I have a fishing gear problem.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

Can't wait to see the progress photos!  Good for you. That looks like a fun project, your neighbor is gonna feel bad when they see it looking like brand new rolling past them as you head out for some fun.

Good luck,  and good boating.  Seem like it was glued down! 🤔.  You will have a lot of fun I'm sure.  After the sea trials you're going to even have more friends.    Keep us posted on the project.  :)

Keta, I havent got that far yet. Engine is probably junk. (I already have 2 spares and build my own engines. It is filthy in bilge so I am gonna pull outrive then engine anyway. I like SPOTLESS bilges so gonna paint and led light the whole compartment also. I've been scrubbing it all day, but it got dark before I could shoot pics.. (more to come)....

Bring it, pictures rule! It sounds like you've been here before.

Carl,
You enjoy that new boat of yours.  By the sounds of it she'll be slaying fish shortly.  The biggest tip I can give anyone cleaning mold or mildew is to use peroxide in a spray bottle and let it do its thing for a few minutes, then wipe clean.  It won't hurt fiberglass or anything else for that matter, but i do keep it away from exposed wires and batteries for peace of mind.  Always keep peroxide out of direct sunlight as that will degrade the potency.  That's why they always come in an opaque bottle.
Have a blast and please post photos when you reach milestones in the build.

I have'nt had much time for the boat as I have been busy working. I did manage to clean the cockpit/helm area up though.. I went to the fishing show in Houston friday, and boat prices are ridiculous..(try a hundred grand for a new center console this size) I'm happier with this purchase every day !!

Really looking forward to your progress on this. Deck is bigger than I thought... Jeff

Carl,
Keep the pics coming! Looks like an awesome boat! Lots of room, plenty of storage space, and it seems like you will have no problem re-powering it. For the price you paid, you can't really go wrong. Enjoy it, and post pics along the way.

With a boat yes you can ;D   But it's good to know Carl seems to have a good idea on whats up. Should be a great thread to watch unfold... Jeff

Carl,
You did good,
Are you going to rebuild or swap engine?

What does  serving the outdrive entail? do you have to  put in a new water seals?

Also is there  any gas in the tanks? Will you flush them or just put in fresh tanks?

Yeah new boats are ridiculous $$$, it robots laying glass now, I wonder why prices are not dropping for these.

I just looked at this thread again. This is I think a really cool looking boat.

Yes on rebuild of stock engine (unless its junk-i have a spare to re-build).     Gas tank coming out- reseal or replace......                                              And, outdrive is just gimbal bearing, ujoint, and water impeller(I think-my first penta outdrive)      Everybody that cries about boat repair prices does'nt work on them by themselves. Heck, I got a recall on my Pontiac vibe(toyota matrix); and there is no way in hell I'm letting those dealer morons touch it.. (I built the engine, a/c system, brakes/installed gps navigation, etc etc.)
