STRIPER LOU

I'm not usually in to the wider reels but when I saw this NOS Accurate 113HLW frame and handle arm in purple,  ....  I had to have it. (Its a purple thing!), don't know why!

The frame and handle were boxed and in mint condition. Internals are stock but a steel main gear added and DD planned when I have a chance. Upgraded drag system is shop made.

Randy provided the Tib Star. I had been curious about their SS insert and it was pretty much as I had figured. The aren't a lot of options to insert the star without getting too complicated. A similar setup is what I'm using on the wide top star that I'm building in shop now.

The whole unit got the shops super hand polish, about 4 to 5 hours worth.

Didn't think I was going to like the dark red plates along with the purple, but now that its together, I'm a very happy camper!
What do you think???

All have a great evening,  ..  Lou

I like the color combo .    I would like to see acrylic knob with side plate reds in it  .

Nice Lou!

I have a more-or-less matching 114h with a narrow purple accurate frame and maroon side plates.  Mine has prochallener gears, Brian's drag stack, SS jack and yoke, and an aluminum tin spool.  Been fishing it spoiled with 80lb JB holo, and a 50lb floro topshot on a Penn International Tuna Stick.
