Penn Squall 15 help

Can someone please help me fix a squall 15? My nephew dropped it, broke the handle blade. Everything seems to work but the spool wont spin. Its like its stuck in freespool but its not. Ive used A diagram and taken it apart three times but for the life of me I cant figure out what the problem is.
So, I put it back together and it sits on my work bench.
What I'm really asking for is someone I can send this reel and some money to LOL.

With the right side plate assembled on, have the left side plate off and spool out.


  • When you move the eccentric lever back and forth, can you see the pinion move correspondingly?
  • If the above is "yes," drop in the spool and repeat the eccentric lever test.
  • If the above is "yes," position the spool so that it is not meshed with the pinion, and rotate spool. Does it eventually mesh?
