Christmas came late for me ... and I had to buy it myself but... A new Avet HXJ 5/2 MC Raptor. Picked it at the sport show . $363.71 out the door, plus if I take it to Turners I get 300 yards of free 80 lb braid spooled on it... The reel will go on my new 9' Phoenix Black Diamond 909XHJ  30-80 rod.

Love that grip Darin. Sal is a multi talented craftsman for sure... I'm not a fan of the stock grip...

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.
